Pat, you are most certainly right. I will soon be uploading a news article under the "Car News" tab about the potential BMW X4, which continues the sporty, offroad "coupe" look.

Well regardless, the X6 has had really successful sales/popularity in Australia

The new look is a cracker! Waelon - you may think its audacious, but I would describe it as "beasty" and omnipotent!

Perhaps we will have to "agree to disagree" - personally I think the Q7 and Porsche Cayenne are visually too "safe" and understated.

In terms of the drive though, I wouldn't be able to compare the three as I have only driven an X6, not the other two cars.

I dislike the look. It screams "contrived" and is too audacious in my opinion. BMW didn't do themselves any favours in producing this car, and I think many people would agree with me. An Audi Q7 or a Porsche Cayenne are much more aesthetically pleasing vehicles in this class.

Personally I love the 'coupe' look. So much so I went out and bought the X6 and traded in my X5. Some people are pretty critical of the look, but I think its great - so "beasty" and such a road presence. Runs a treat too. Definitely recommending this vehicle.
